Linear fixed blade diffuser is designed to provide
a continuous run of diffuser offering one or two
way blow air patterns. Its high capacity makes it
suitable for the modern open office areas. It is
available with a fixed or removable core and standard opposed blade dampers can be fitted to the removable core model.
Code 0176. Fixed core, one way blow linear fixed
Code 0177. Fixed core, two way blow linear fixed
Code 0178. Removable core, one way blow linear
fixed blade diffuser.
Code 0179. Removable core, two way blow linear
fixed blade diffuser.
Code 0180. End cap.
The above combinations are available in 1 slot through to 10 slots. The 13 figure code should be modified for two way blow models so that the last four digits show how many slots are discharging in each direction, i.e. A 5 slot two way blow diffuser with 2 slots blowing one way and 3 slots blowing the other would have the last four digits as 0203.
The length can be any nominal size from 500mm to 1500mm in one piece. A run longer than 1500mm can be made up to any nominal length from multiple
sections butted up together to give a continuous appearance. Please note that any clips or brackets required for fixing the diffuser are not included with the basic package because the methods of fixing are numerous. The nominal width is determined by the number of slots and the one or two way discharge
pattern. See the table below:-
Aluminium with mechanical joints to lock the mitred corner of the flange.
Body and blades silver satin anodised to BS1615 AA5.
There is no standard fixing arrangement with the basic diffuser package and any fixing clips or brackets are supplied separately. Details of the various fixing methods are shown on page 57 and the different types of brackets and clips for these fixings are shown below. However, splice plates are provided with the basic package to align sections in a multiple section run. Borders are unpunched as standard.
Each length of diffuser is packaged in a specially designed cardboard carton with crush resistant ends. Any fixing clips or brackets are packed in a separate carton to ensure that they do not scratch the diffuser in transit. The alignment clips are packed in a linen bag and attached to the diffuser.

Opposed Blade Dampers
Opposed blade dampers (Code 0106) can be fitted to active sections on the removable core model only. They are fitted between the fixing brackets.
The borders can be punched with countersunk holes. Size No 6 x 11/2´´ self tapping screws are provided and finished the same colour as the linear slot. (Fixing type 0F1). Please specify hole centres. This method of
fixing should not be used for sections with plenum boxes or where the material that the diffuser is being fixed to is not adequate to support the weight. It is advisable to suspend the equipment from the slab above in these situations. See page 57 for other fixing methods for which the following clips or brackets are available:-
Code 0307. Saddle brackets for Type 0F18 fix.
Code 0308. Saddle brackets for Type 0F19 fix.
Code 0304. Hanging cleats (wire) for Type 0F23 fix.
Code 0305. Hanging cleats (rod) for type 0F24 fix.
The number of saddle brackets required up to 1 metre long section = 2 off and between 1metre and 1.5 metre long section = 3 off. The number of cleats required up to 1 metre long section = 4 off and between 1 metre and 1.5 metre = 6 off.
Code 0395. A blanking plate can be fitted to non active sections, if required. These are fabricated from sheet steel and painted matt black.
HEADER BOXES (Removeable Core Models only)
Header boxes are available manufactured from Zintec
coated sheet steel and either un-insulated or insulated internally. The internal insulation can be thermal or acoustic / thermal.

We can also design header boxes with non standard heights and spigot combinations where there is a
limited space in the cavity. Header boxes can be fitted with quadrant dampers in the spigot for either manual (Code 0483) or cord operated (Code 0484) control.
• The code for the basic diffuser should have 13 digits.
